In-house soccer for ages 4 to 7

Mentor Soccer Club offers an in-house program for players ages 4, 5, 6, and 7. It focuses on team building, fundamentals, and fun. Team leaders are coaches, student-athletes, and parents who volunteer their time to keep young players active and learning.

Parents tell us one of their favorite parts is that the spring season is automatically included when you register for fall.

What Players Learn

Our focus is the fundamentals of the game. It is never too early to start. Players learn to dribble, pass, and create space on the field while having a great time.

Our Program

• Divisions: U4/U5 and U6/U7
• Teams: Co-ed or same-gender, offered in both Fall and Spring
• Format: Small teams play 4v4 or 5v5 on small-sided fields with no goalie
• Schedule: Each team plays one session per week, on Saturdays. Teams rotate between practice sessions and game sessions. Schedules are released two weeks before the season starts.
• Practices: One hour long. The Lead Coach plans the drills and sometimes asks for parent involvement.
• Scrimmage: At the end of practice, two teams play a short scrimmage of about 15 minutes. One coach referees, and no score is kept. Coaches are on the field guiding players throughout.

What to Bring

• MSC uniform and shin guards (required)
• Cleats (mandatory)
• Water bottle
• Chairs, blankets, and a camera for parents and family

Jewelry must be removed before all sessions. Please, no smoking or pets on the fields.
